It sure was blustery cold and wet today, if one was looking for a suitable adjective to describe the weather, “clement” might not be your first choice. Today we had another great turnout of 13 volunteers. Today’s list of milestones is:
- The van has its first coat of red paint and looks very smart with newly fastened (and straight) walls
- The F7 interior has insulation and a lounge area
- The Pyke has a radiator and oil cooler in the right place although not connected
- The turntable floodlights are connected properly (finally!) with the correct cables
- #4803 is lit up as of tonight
- The miniature version of the CLC-Whitcomb #1 switcher is complete and ready for track trials
- Commissioning of the U33c simulator’s electrical systems has begun
All in all, another great leap forward as we work hard to prepare for the imminent opening of the museum.
