This weekend was a bit cold, wet and blustery but there was a steady stream of visitors to the museum and riders on our train. One couple even came to Roundhouse Park for photographs despite the weather.
A crew of volunteers also executed a number of equipment moves to prepare us for the winter season. As can be seen below, the Caboose is now tucked in close to the entrance ot the Museum, the Whitcomb is parked beside the Steam Whistle patio and CNR #6213 again sits majestically on the turntable.
As shown below, work also progressed on both the roof and the windows of the Cape Race as we work to protect it from the elements when it is stored outside. Many of the window frames had serious rot especially on the bottom of the frame so replacement of some of the wood was necessary.
