Derek Boles, who has coordinated our weekend operations at the Toronto Heritage Railway Centre (TRHC) all season long, provided this update on the Halloween Eve event which was the fianale to our operating season for 2010.

“We had been operating the mini-Whitcomb both days on our miniature railway but steamed up No. 3 for the evening run. Bob Dickson, one of our volunteers, really went to town with the Halloween ambience. He had a cemetery with headstones and fluttering ghosts over in the glade by Lower Simcoe Street. Closer to Don he had a giant pumpkin, a dancing skeleton that sang 80’s pop songs and a theatre in the Don waiting room showing spooky videos projected on a large portable screen. Bob really took the lead on this initiative and he deserves full credit for creating a special Halloween occasion at the TRHC.”

Stephen Gardiner staged the wonderful scenes in the attached images adding to our inventory of great night images in Roundhouse Park! Thanks to all of the volunteers who came out to make the day and the evening a wonderful experience. Thanks also to everyone who made the whole season a great success operationally.
