Video: Why Risk Your Life: 1940’s Railway Safety Film
YouTube has become a treasure trove of great video viewing for rail fans. The hard part is sorting through the incredible number of railway videos for the truly great ones.
Here is a 36 minute long video produced likely in the 1940’s by the Great Northern Railway to train railway workers in safe work practices. It gives you both great shots of railway engines and trains of the era as well as a fascinating insight into the operating practices of that era.
Well worth watching!
