Another attraction on our opening weekend was Cabin D which now has a great set of interpretive panels documenting the history of Cabin D and its important role in the operation of the busy tracks into and out of  Union Station.  These were produced by Derek Boles, our TRHA Historian.

Also newly added to Cabin D is an original Belleville Subdivision Dispatching Board. This Board was used to govern trains operating between Toronto (Agincourt) and Smiths Falls, Ontario. This is now located on the second floor of Cabin D.  Visitors to the museum had a great time moving the heavy interlocked levers that once controlled the switches on the approach to Union Station.  We will be sharing more about this Board in a future News posting.
