Hamilton’s Chrysanthemum Show & The Toronto Railway Museum!

The Mum Show as most people refer to it is an annual flower show started in 1920. The Chrysanthemum Show is an amazing floral display created by some of Hamilton’s finest horticulture staff.  The display is a breathtaking feature of over 200 varieties of Chrysanthemums, and more than 75,000 blooms! In 2012 the Hamilton Fall Garden & Mum Show first took place in the newly built greenhouse facility. Over 20,000 square feet of display space now houses the show. Last year, over 12,000 visitors enjoyed the show.

A new theme each year has taken them through dramatic scenes of flowers, colours and displays.  This year’s theme is “trains” and the Golden Horseshoe Liver Steamers and The Toronto Railway Museum responded by having a presence at the show with booths as well as miniature railway equipment integrated into the floral displays throughout the show.

The show runs from Friday, October 25th through to Sunday, November 3rd and is located in the Gage Park greenhouses in Hamilton.  For more information, visit their website by clicking here.
