Halton County Radial Railway’s 60th Anniversary Event – July 19th
This is the HCRR’s 60th anniversary year and they have a special celebration this Saturday, July 19th.
There will be lots to do and see, including a Community Fair featuring local vendors; opening ceremonies featuring Mayor Gordon Krantz, Mayor of Milton; unlimited streetcar rides and more.
The HCRR advises us that they will be operating the following:
- 1945 TTC snow plow TP-11 – Largest Canadian street railway snowplow
- 1938 air-electric PCC #4000 – Canada’s first PCC trolley
It is likely that this will be the only public running of #4000 this year!
There will also be a special evening event as follows:
60th Anniversary Drive-In Theatre! – Saturday, July 19 (separate evening event), 8:00pm
Come see Back to the Future III on the big screen! We’re used to traveling back in time, so this seemed like a good fit. Watch Canadian actor, Michael J. Fox as he travels back in time to the wild west. Did we mention there will be popcorn? First come, first serve. Space is limited. Tickets for evening sold at the door. $12/adult & $10/child. CASH ONLY.”
