Doors Open Toronto Train Show versus Trainfest
On May 24th and 25th of this year, we will be celebrating Doors Open Toronto with our official season opener which includes our modest Train Show. (Note: The museum will of course continue to be open until then).
Some Train Shows though are remarkably large. Trainfest, held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (a 10 hour drive from Toronto) features 200,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space — that’s about 4 football fields of model trains! That massive show typically includes more than 70 layouts and attracts more than 25,000 people as well as over 100 manufacturers and hobby dealers. Next year’s show will be held on November 8th and 9th, 2014. Click here to learn more about Trainfest.

Watch carefully about 14:40 minutes in and you will see the N-Trak layout built by modellers from the Greater Toronto Area. This layout will be a feature at our Train Show on May 24th and 25th. So book a visit to Roundhouse Park in your calendar now for that weekend.
