Andrew Jeanes is a career public servant in the heritage conservation field, an amateur railway historian and lifelong rail passenger and fan. He holds a degree in cultural studies from York University. Born and raised in Ottawa, and after many years spent living in Toronto, he now calls Kingston, Ontario home with his partner, daughter and two dogs. Andrew has been a member of the Toronto Railway Historical Association since 2006.
On the TRHA’s History Team, Andrew Jeanes serves as a leadership figure for the younger members of the team, and provides a wealth of experience and knowledge when the team is working on research projects. Andrew’s work bridges the gap between generations of TRHA historians, and worked closely with our late TRHA Historian, Derek Boles. Most recently, Andrew researched, developed, and presented a wonderful lecture in December 2021 called Christmas and the Railways: Keeping the Holidays on Track.
