While our volunteers continued to drive forward with our projects in Roundhouse Park this weekend, a few of us spent all or part of the weekend at the Museum of Steam and Technology’s “Boats, Trains and Meccanno” event held every year in May at their site in Hamilton, Ontario. Many of our volunteers who have developed our miniature railway facilities and equipment are also members of local miniature railway clubs – specifically the Richmond Hill Live Steamers (RHLS), the Toronto Live Steamers (TLS) and the Golden Horseshoe Live Steamers (GHLS). The GHLS facilities are at this museum’s site and they operated their railway both on Saturday and Sunday this weekend.

On Sunday, we brought the miniature Whitcomb locomotive to this event in order to give it a full day’s workout pulling some of the 900 public visitors who turned out that day. The good news is that it performed flawlessly much to our delight.

We also include here several picture of the model boat show and meccano model exhibit which were also featured in this weekend event. The models were exquisitely built and very impressive.
