Wrapping up our coverage of the Season Opening weekend of the Toronto Railway Museum, we turn to the Train Show, a traditional feature of this special event. Once again, a number of local model railway groups brought their portable layouts out for everyone to enjoy. We also had displays from the Halton County Radial Railway and the Toronto and York Division of the Canadian Railway Historical Association.
Finally, our very own Toronto Railway Historical Association featured our “Save the Museum” campaign with a large banner telling the story, resulting in over a thousand visitors signing our petition to the Mayor and Councillors of the City of Toronto asking them to save the museum by working closely with Toronto Hydro to develop and approve alternative plans to meet Hydro’s needs.
