Come visit the Toronto Railway Museum this Toronto Doors Open weekend!

Once again this year we will be mounting as many attractions as we can this coming Saturday (May 25th) and Sunday (May 26th) including our usual small Train Show in the Steam Whistle’s entertainment space.  So do come down and enjoy what we have to offer as railway oriented experiences.

If you are coming from further away, additional incentive is to visit some of the over 100 other great architectural attractions in the city this weekend.  Click here to check them all out.

Our site is listed under “CP Roundhouse – Toronto Railway Historical Society (Yes, they have tried to rename us!!)” and under “Steam Whistle …”,  We are the only railway oriented site to visit this year.  But a very interesting place to visit on both days is the steam driven fully restored paddle wheel ferry boat “Trillium” at the foot of Bay street, a short walk from our site.  It will celebrate its 103th birthday on June 18th!  Mike Filey, famed author of Toronto history will be on board to discuss her history.

Below we feature a sneak peak photo of the Lego model railway layout which we are featuring this season in our museum space.  This layout had been loaned to us by one of our volunteers, Tim van Putten (Thanks, Tim!). Another reason to visit us this weekend!
