Field Trip to the Florida Live Steamers – Part 1 of 3
Once upon a time, there was a tradition for Miniature Railway Clubs on the west and east coast of North America to hold an annual series of “meets” over a succession of weekends over the summer period. The umbrella organization, the International Brotherhood of Live Steamers (IBLS), oversaw these series of events in the past. While the IBLS, founded in 1932 still exists, these “rambles” (as they were sometimes called) have not happened for many years. Click here for more information on history of the IBLS or visit their Facebook page.
