Acquisition of a CNR Wood Caboose – Part 2
Further to our last news posting, the owners of the CN caboose generously donated it to the Museum and also contributed to the cost of moving it. In the images below, we follow the process of loading the caboose body onto a flatbed trailer and moving it off the property. A crew of TRHA volunteers had visited the site a week earlier to remove the caboose’s steps to make this possible. The trucks were loaded onto a second flatbed. The next day, the caboose safely arrived in Roundhouse Park.
